Improved link structure for international pages

If you want to run an international site with several languages, it is important to make it clear to Google and other search engines that it is the same site in a different language. We have now introduced an improved link structure for this purpose.

For pages with only one language, the URLs look like this:

https://www.example.com/cms/3-seite-deiner-wahl.html

For international pages, we now include the language in the URL:

https://www.example.com/de/cms/3-seite-deiner-wahl.html

This happens fully automatically and you don't need to worry about it.

Automatic language detection

Initially, the visitor calls up a language-unspecific URL and the language in which the page should be displayed is determined based on the browser setting.

However, you can now also set the language automatically with the URL. The URL automatically recognises that the second URL is a language-specific URL in German. The first URL, on the other hand, is a language-unspecific URL. While the language of the first URL is therefore determined on the basis of the browser setting, it is preset as German for the second URL.

Automatic URL change when changing language

If the user now changes the language, TYRIOS automatically changes the URL of the page to the corresponding language-specific version. This makes it easier for the user to bookmark the page, but Google also recognises the connections between the individual pages better. We hope that this will significantly improve the crawl behaviour of search engines and thus ensure faster and better indexing.
