Customised newsletters with additional data from Excel

We have added a powerful function to our newsletter system in TYRIOS: you can now store additional data from an Excel file and use it directly in your newsletters. This gives you the opportunity not only to define your target groups more precisely, but also to use data from external systems for dynamically personalised content - and all in compliance with GDPR.

What makes the new function special?

With the Excel integration, you can not only filter the recipients of your newsletter, but also insert data from external systems (e.g. ERP, ski binding hire, tennis hire). Whether discount codes, rental data or other specific information - you can now use this data in your newsletters without having to save it in the TYRIOS system beforehand.

The connection between the TYRIOS system and the Excel file ensures that only users who are known in the TYRIOS system and have a newsletter authorisation are included. At the same time, the Excel file with its data dynamically expands the newsletter, which can therefore be more individualised than before.

Explained step by step

Select recipients in the TYRIOS system: Start as usual and select the users who should receive your newsletter. Important: Only recipients who are registered in the TYRIOS system can receive the newsletter.

Upload Excel file: Upload an Excel file with additional information - for example discount codes, rental data or credit notes.

Select e-mail column for synchronisation: TYRIOS matches the email addresses from the Excel file with those in the system. Only users who are present in both sources (AND filtering) will receive the e-mail.

Use dynamic placeholders: With the new pattern {{data.NameTheColumn}}, you can insert columns from the Excel file directly into the email. For example, individual discount codes or information about a ski binding can be integrated directly into the newsletter. The recognised patterns are displayed under the editor as usual.

What does this function allow you to do?

The combination of recipient filters and dynamic additional data opens up completely new areas of application:

Filtering and narrowing down target groups

Precise target groups: Use the Excel file to further narrow down your target group. For example, you can select regular customers in TYRIOS and use the Excel data to additionally filter according to their purchasing behaviour or status.

  • External rental data: Include additional information such as rental periods from your ski hire or tennis hire shop.
