More control and flexibility - your CMP with two new modes

We are pleased to announce an important innovation in our Consent Management Platform (CMP). Our CMP (also known as Cookie Banner) has been redesigned from the ground up and now offers you two different modes to both support your marketing strategy and ensure a pleasant user experience. You can now choose between a prominent and a discreet mode - depending on what suits your website and audience best.

CMP in a prominent variant
A CMP obtains the customer's consent for personal data processing. TYRIOS now supports a prominent and a discreet variant.

What is a CMP and why should you use it?

A Consent Management Platform (CMP) helps to obtain consent from users for data collection and processing - an important part of complying with data protection laws such as the GDPR. A CMP ensures that your users can decide for themselves which data they want to release for analysis, personalisation or marketing.

Our CMP allows you to manage this consent easily and transparently. Your users have full control over their data and can decide which cookies and tracking methods they want to accept.

The new modes at a glance

To meet your needs, our CMP now offers two modes that adjust the degree of visibility and interaction with the banner.

1. Discreet mode: discreet and unobtrusive

In discreet mode, the consent banner is displayed discreetly at the top of the page. Your users can ignore it and continue surfing your site without interruption.

Advantages of the discreet mode:

  • Minimal disruption to the user experience
  • Ideal if you don't want to interrupt your users
  • Users can continue to use the site without restrictions and without having to make a decision immediately

Disadvantages:

  • As the banner can be easily overlooked, it often leads to fewer consents for marketing and tracking measures
  • Users are less aware of their data protection settings

2. Prominent mode: Clear decision required

In prominent mode, the CMP is displayed as a pop-up that covers the entire screen. Here your users have to make an active decision: agree or disagree before they can continue on the website.

Advantages of prominent mode:

  • Higher consent rates as users cannot ignore the banner
  • More transparency and awareness of data usage
  • Perfect if your marketing strategy relies on consent for data usage

Disadvantages:

  • Can be perceived as intrusive and disrupt the user experience
  • Some users may opt out rather than engage with the options

100% GDPR compliant

No matter which mode you choose, our CMP remains fully GDPR compliant. This means:

  • Equivalent buttons: The options to agree or disagree are designed equally so as not to influence the user's decision.
  • Access to legal information: Links to your privacy policy and legal notice are included in the pop-up so that users can access the necessary information at any time without having to leave your site.

What does this mean for your marketing?

With the prominent mode, you can significantly increase the number of active consents and thus fully utilise your marketing potential. However, the discreet mode is less annoying for visitors, which can lead to more conversions - at the expense of measurability.

Conclusion: Choose the right solution for you

Our new CMP modes offer you the flexibility that best suits your business model and your users. Whether you prefer a discreet, user-friendly option or a proactive, decisive decision-making option - both options are designed to optimally fulfil your requirements.

Try out both modes and find out which one works best for your website and your audience!
