Create QR codes for products

Questions:

  • How do I create a QR code for a product?
  • How can I increase my sales?
  • How do I link my offline advertising (e.g. magazines) with the online shop?

Description:

QR codes are a simple way to increase your sales. For example, you can stick a QR code on your products and thus systematically increase follow-up purchases, especially for consumables. But also the combination of offline and online buying experience can be increased significantly. Here are a few ideas:

  • Label all items in the shop with the QR code. The QR code should be attached to every product in the shop. This way, the customer can easily request details about the product in the shop, which you simply make available online. A nice side effect: your online page is perceived much more consciously. This boosts your sales even outside business hours.
  • If you place advertisements in newspapers or even have your own magazines/catalogues produced: with the QR code, the customer can not only call up more details, more photos and videos. He can buy or reserve the item directly online.
  • Especially with wear and tear and consumable items, it is very helpful to generate follow-up orders if the customer can organise replenishment with just a few clicks.

How does the whole thing work? With simple QR codes. This is a two-dimensional image that can be scanned with any modern smartphone. A URL is hidden behind the QR code and this is then called up.

Solution:

To create a QR code for your products, proceed as follows:

  1. As a user with extended rights, go to the customer area > product management > manage articles.
  2. Filter on the articles for which you want to create a QR code. There should be a maximum of 500 articles.
  3. Click on the function "Product links" in the table menu.
  4. Depending on the product quantity, the corresponding product links are now generated for all displayed products and offered as a QR code for download as a zip file.

Tips and Tricks:

The zip file can simply be unpacked in the system and printed e.g. via a label printer. For this purpose, only the corresponding images must be integrated into the label template.
