Edit articles in a product group

Items that differ only slightly - e.g. in size or colour - are often combined into group items to improve clarity on overview pages. Group articles also make it much easier to maintain the articles. This is because instead of having to edit each article individually when an adjustment is required, you can edit the group article across all articles

Suitable questions:

• If I want to edit a group article, do I have to make the changes for each article?
• If a change in the group article is only necessary for part of the article group, do I have to make the change for each article?

Answer

As soon as an article is assigned to an article group, an additional button appears in the article editor:

If you activate the button, TYRIOS loads the similarities from the entire article group and displays them in the editor. This means that you only see the data that is the same for all articles in the group. You can now edit all fields and then save the group. The system then analyses your input for changes and applies the changes to all items in the item group. This also applies to selected images.

Restricting the item selection

Sometimes it is not necessary to edit all items in a group, but only some of the items - e.g. if you want to change the images of a colour. As soon as you have activated the button as before, another button will appear on the right:

If you click on this button, you can restrict articles to be edited.

As soon as you click on "OK", only the similarities of the selected products will be displayed. changes will only be applied to these items.

Restriction

Cross-article editing is only possible in the article editor and only applies to the standard modules. Individual modules such as product configurators may not support cross-article editing. However, this will be indicated accordingly.
