To ensure your parcels reach your customers safely and without delay, our address form intelligently adapts to the relevant destination country. In this guide, you will learn how to enter a private address correctly whilst adhering to the specific formatting requirements for postcodes.

  1. Select a country and set the address type to ‘private’ or ‘business’

First, select the desired country in the address form. Make sure that the address type is set to ‘private’/‘business ’. The form updates immediately: fields for company names or tax numbers (such as VAT, GST or PAN) are hidden for private addresses. Only the fields for personal address details appear.

  2. Enter the postcode in the local format

Enter the postcode in the ‘Postcode’ field exactly as it is used in the destination country. The system checks in the background whether your entry complies with the official rules:

    • Netherlands: Enter four digits and two letters (e.g. 1234 AB).
    • Germany: Exactly 5 digits are required here.
    • Poland: Use the format XX-XXX with a hyphen.

TYRIOS checks the postcode for its valid format as you type – depending on the country. A comprehensive set of rules is stored in TYRIOS for this purpose.

  3. Save address in the system

Click the ‘Save’ button. The address will only be successfully saved if all compulsory fields have been completed and the postcode matches the template on file. If there are any errors, you will receive a message asking you to correct them to ensure that delivery goes smoothly later on.
