Getting started: Set up main navigation

Description:
Without navigation, it will be difficult for visitors to find their way around your website. It therefore makes sense to add links to the main navigation - also known as the mega menu in TYRIOS. The following explains where and how you can do this.
Solution:
The mega menu management is only accessible to logged-in users with the appropriate rights. The navigation elements that you specify in your mega menu will then appear in your header.

The mega menu allows three different link types:
- Link: a direct link
- Classic menu: a simple drop-down menu. Several direct links can be inserted in it
- Mega menu: a complex drop-down menu. Several related link groups can be displayed in it, namely
- HTML: a freely definable navigation block with WYSIWYG editor. You can also use it to display media as links
- Navigation block: The classic menu in the mega menu
- Shop category list: Generates a navigation block based on the tree structure of your categories
- In the customer area, navigate to the mega menu management via System
- Click on the button on the right-hand side to add navigation elements
- Enter a label for the navigation element and confirm the entry by clicking on the confirmation button
- Select a type for the navigation element
Procedure for the type Link type
- Enter the URL to which your link should point
- Repeat the process as required and then click on the "Save" button
Procedure for the type Classic menu
- Press the button at the bottom right to add links
- Enter a caption for the link
- Enter the URL for the link
- Confirm the entry by clicking on the confirmation button
- Repeat the process as required and then press the "Save" button
Procedure for the type Mega menu: HTML
This navigation type is intended for advanced users.
- Select HTML from the options at the bottom right and add the block by clicking on the corresponding button
- Use the and buttons to specify how much space this navigation block should take up
- Enter a heading for the navigation block
- Add navigation elements with the WYSIWYG editor
- Repeat the process as required
- When you are finished, you can save your navigation using the corresponding button
Procedure for the type Mega menu: Navigation block
- Select Navigation block from the options at the bottom right and add the block by clicking on the corresponding button
- Use the and buttons to specify how much space this navigation block should take up
- Enter a heading for the navigation block
- Optional: enter a direct link. This will also link the heading
- Add a link by clicking on the button
- Enter a label and URL for the link and accept your entry by clicking on the button
- Repeat the process as required
- When you are finished, you can save your navigation by clicking the corresponding button
Procedure for the type Mega menu: Shop category list
- Select Shop category list from the options at the bottom right and add the block by clicking on the corresponding button
- Use the and buttons to specify how much space this navigation block should take up
- Enter a heading for the navigation block
- Enter a shop category. (You can choose from the suggestions when typing)
- Optional: tick the box to automatically create navigation blocks. This will divide subcategories into further navigation blocks
- Optional: tick the box to automatically add a brand navigation block. This will add the brands that are in the categories as a navigation block. You can specify the maximum number of brands to be displayed here
- Repeat the process as required
- When you are finished, you can save your navigation using the corresponding button
