Time saved through automated data maintenanceEfficient management of supplier items
This guide is aimed at retailers who manage large volumes of product data and wish to replace time-consuming manual data entry with automated processes. The aim is to professionalise the management of supplier relationships and reduce the administrative burden in the long term.
This enables you to update hundreds or thousands of product links, purchase price scales and mark-ups simultaneously via a CSV or Excel import. Instead of editing each product individually, you can maintain your purchase terms and retail prices efficiently and without errors in a single operation.
Linking supplier items and terms and conditions via file importEffiziente Datenpflege im Lieferanten-Editor
Imagine having to compare thousands of prices manually – a nightmare for any buyer. This guide shows you how to effortlessly update product links and purchasing terms via file import in the TYRIOS Supplier Editor.
-
Start the import process in the Supplier Editor
Start the process by opening the required supplier in the editor and navigating to the Items panel. Click the Import button in the product table toolbar to launch the digital wizard for your data maintenance.
-
Choosing the right importer for your data
In the side panel that now appears, select the required importer from the drop-down menu, for example the TYRIOS Standard Link Import. Confirm your selection by clicking ‘Next’ so that the system can prepare a specific import job for this supplier.
-
Upload or link the import file
Upload your CSV or Excel file (`.xlsx` or `.xls`) easily using drag-and-drop, or alternatively use the URL field. If you have particularly large amounts of data, you should tick the ‘Process in the background ’ box and enter your email address to receive an automatic notification when the process is complete.
-
Wait for the import to complete successfully
Monitor the progress directly in the sidebar until the success message appears. If the process is running in the background, you can close the bar straight away; if you wish to stop the process, you can terminate the job on the server at any time by clicking the ‘Cancel’ button.

Data Identification and Hierarchy
Each row in your import file must uniquely identify a product. The system checks the identity in this fixed order: item ID, EAN, then item number. If any of these details are missing, the upload will be rejected. Rows that cannot be matched to an existing product are automatically skipped.
Sales prices and history
You can use the supplier-item import function to overwrite all sales prices (including those for different price groups). When importing sales prices (SP, list price or price groups), the previously active price period is automatically terminated. A new period with the imported value begins immediately. This ensures that your price history remains complete for analysis purposes. Important: If the imported price matches the current value exactly, no change will be made.
It is not possible to use the standard importer to make sales prices effective from a specific date onwards. In this case, please contact Support to arrange this.
To import prices for alternative price groups, use the column header ‘SP “[Your price group name]”’. You can find an example in our sample Excel file.
Purchasing terms (EK1–EK4)
You can define up to four price tiers. The following information can be imported for each tier:
- Minimum order quantities and currencies
- Surcharges (as a percentage or absolute amount)
- Effective purchase prices
Sample format
Use the sample workbook directly within the importer to check the required column layout in advance.
