Inventory Movements with Ident Management Enabled
Description:
If you have activated ident management for a product, stock movements are only possible with an ident number. This applies in all systems:
- for manual stock movements (TYRIOS pim)
- for documents (delivery notes, invoices, etc.) with stock movements (TYRIOS order)
- for receipts (TYRIOS pos)
- for incoming delivery notes (TYRIOS supplier)
The system distinguishes between stock receipts and stock issues.
Stock receipts
The specification of an ID number is optional for stock receipts. Depending on the product, however, it may be necessary to enter a serial number, an external ID number, an import number or a best-before date.
If you have not entered an ID number, a new ID number will be assigned. However, if you have entered an ID number, the system assumes that an item was already in stock and should be booked back in. TYRIOS therefore checks whether the item with this ID number is currently out of stock. Only then is the booking possible. If the product is assigned to a customer, this item is booked back into the warehouse. A customer asset is automatically set as inactive.
Outgoing stock
Stock issues are only possible with a valid ID number. TYRIOS checks whether the specified ID number is in the current stock. This also includes the corresponding warehouse. It is not possible to use an ID number from another warehouse.
If you have also provided the article with a serial number, an external ID number or an import number, you can also identify the ID number with these number ranges. TYRIOS automatically checks all ident data and suggests suitable ident numbers. The currently selected warehouse is also taken into account in this case.
