Preview Image for Grouped Products
Questions:
- Which image is used as the preview for grouped products?
Description:
A group article in TYRIOS is nothing more than a compilation of different articles. The purpose of a group article is to make article overviews such as categories, search results or up- and cross-selling lists clearer. By combining several articles into a group article, the individual articles are no longer listed individually in the overviews, but as a group. Group articles are used, for example, for articles with different sizes and colours.
As a group article can consist of articles with different prices and different images, the question naturally arises as to which price and which preview image should be used in the overviews. The answer depends on the sorting of the overview:
Alphabetical sorting
If categorisation is selected alphabetically by name, the preview image and the price of the first product in alphabetical order will be displayed.
Sorting by price ascending
With ascending price sorting, the preview and the price of the item that is the cheapest is displayed.
Sorting by price descending
In descending price sorting, the preview and price of the most expensive item is displayed.
Sorting by time
If the article overview is sorted by time, the most recent article provides the preview image and the price.
Sorting by relevance
When sorting by relevance, the preview and price are determined by the item that is most relevant within the group. The relevance of the item is determined by several factors:
- How well has the item been rated so far?
- How often has the item been sold so far?
- How high is the manual relevance (defined in the article editor under SEO)?
- How well does the article match the search query (only for search overviews)?
