Set up a discount for regular customer
Description:
Maintaining regular customers often involves giving them special treatment. A popular way to do this is with a discount. TYRIOS allows you to permanently store these discounts with the customer. As soon as the customer logs into the online shop, they see their individual prices. The same applies to the checkout system - provided the customer has been entered accordingly in the till receipt.
Solution:
For users without customer assignment:
- Go to the customer area > User management > Manage users
- Search for the appropriate user and click on "Edit user" in the line menu. You will be taken to the user editor.
- Click on the "Price calculation" tab
- Depending on the system settings, you can specify here whether the user can purchase at a standard price or at an alternative price. Optionally, you can also define a customised price calculation. To do this, you must specify the percentage of the standard price at which the user can purchase. For example, if you want to grant a 10% discount, you must enter 90%.
For users with customer assignment:
Users with customer assignment are managed via the customer to ensure standardised prices for the user.
- Go to the customer area > User management > Manage customers
- Search for the appropriate customer and click on "Edit customer" in the line menu. You will be taken to the customer editor.
- Click on the "Price calculation" tab
- Depending on the system settings, you can specify here whether the customer can purchase at a standard price or at an alternative price. Optionally, you can also define a customised price calculation. To do this, you must specify the percentage of the standard price at which the customer can purchase. For example, if you want to grant a 10% discount, you must enter 90%.
Tips and Tricks:
We recommend not only managing users for regular customers, but also explicitly assigning them to a customer. This has several advantages:
- Regular customers receive a fixed customer number
- Families/clubs/companies can shop using the same customer number and see the same price
- You can store additional information for the customer - e.g. e-mail address for accounting, etc.
