TYRIOS 7.0
Questions:
- What’s new in version 7.0?
Description:
Profound changes take time. And we took our time over the last few months. The result is TYRIOS 7.0, which delivers comprehensively optimised pages that not only impress Google with their significantly optimised page speed. We have also carried out many usability tests with selected customers in order to noticeably increase conversion. The biggest innovation, however, concerns the search, because with TYRIOS 7.0 not only the online shop is connected to the self-learning, error-tolerant search and recommendation system ShopOnTarget. All pages of the content management system are now also taken into account.
TYRIOS comes with a new search interface
With version 7.0, the interface to ShopOnTarget has been fundamentally revised. A new abstraction layer makes it possible to realise individual search and analysis scenarios in the shortest possible time. In addition to the product data, we have now connected all content management pages:
Content management system with error-tolerant full-text search
All pages of the content management system integrated in TYRIOS are now entered fully automatically in ShopOnTarget (if ShopOnTarget is booked). This provides you with an intelligent, self-learning full-text search for your technical articles, your blog, your documentation and all other pages. In addition to the page content, ShopOnTarget also records usage data for the page. Recommendations are also possible in the content management system. Show the most relevant articles from your blog, from your trade magazine section or from your product information. This not only gives you a more competent appearance. You also improve the internal linking structure sustainably and fully automatically.

More intelligent auto-suggest
The new search interface utilises the potential of ShopOnTarget even more. We have fundamentally revised the auto-suggest function.

As of TYRIOS 7.0, suitable manufacturers, suitable categories and documents from the content management system are suggested in addition to the previous term and product suggestions. The auto-suggest automatically adapts to different browser sizes and can also be used on mobile phones. However, the display is limited to term suggestions. In this way, the limited space is optimally utilised, while at the same time the customer is supported when entering search terms. With this in mind, the browser now scrolls automatically to the top of the screen when the search field is clicked.
Document stream
Since MAIA eCommerce 6.1, the online shop software has supported product streams, which can be used to dynamically display product recommendations on any page based on a search and filter setting. This function is frequently used in landing pages and has been a great success with all customers.
The concept of product streams is now being extended to documents in TYRIOS. Based on a search and filter setting that you define, you can use document streams to integrate suitable documents from your blog, your specialist articles or other areas of your site at any time.

With the help of product and document streams, you are able to integrate your editorial area more closely with your products and categories. This allows you to offer your users relevant content at all times. Ultimately, this will also be honoured by Google.
Further details can be found in the documentation on document streams.
Simpler administration
Previously, search and recommendation data could only be re-synchronised using a server console. This is no longer necessary. Instead, a new function for synchronising your product and document data is available in the user area. You can use this to synchronise
- Synchronise products / documents.
- reset and reinitialise the search and recommendation system.
- update the data schema. This is particularly necessary if you are introducing new product data types or updating existing ones.
Improved page speed
The speed of your site is becoming increasingly relevant when it comes to increasing conversions and search engine optimisation. That's why we have once again set out to find potential improvements to make your site faster with TYRIOS. In addition to some minor optimisations, we focused on optimising the images automatically generated by TYRIOS. Thanks to a multi-stage optimisation process, the system is now able to generate up to 80% smaller images without compromising the quality of the images. TYRIOS tries to achieve the best result fully automatically using different algorithms. The result also convinces Google: In PageSpeed Insights, we were able to achieve improvements of up to 50 percentage points for pages with a high image load.
Targeted increases in conversion
We have spent the last few weeks working intensively with our customers to analyse statistics and browser sessions of individual visitors in order to identify potential conversion killers. In addition to the classics "optimise product description" and "improve delivery times", we were able to implement three further improvements:
Review widget
Especially when listing reviews from different portals on one page, we realised that some users were not aware of the TrustBadge reviews from TrustedShops. We have therefore created a rating widget that works with the internal rating function of TYRIOS. When TrustedShops is used, TrustedShops ratings are automatically used. The widget can be inserted anywhere on a page. According to current usability studies, its use in the footer area of the page is recommended.

Shop advantages
If there is too much competition for a product, it is worth explicitly pointing out the advantages of the shop to the user. These advantages can vary depending on the item, brand and stock status. This is why we have added a new function that allows the advantages of the shop to be displayed dynamically.

Due to the dynamic function of the shop benefits, it is necessary to implement the benefits in the template.
Shopping basket optimisation
In more than 1,000 user tests, we were able to achieve many improvements, especially in the shopping basket.

- The customer is immediately informed about the number of products. On small screens in particular, they can jump directly to the products.
- The customer can go straight to the checkout without having to scroll down. Mobile phone users in particular benefit from this.
- The form for the voucher code is now directly visible in the shopping basket summary. The user no longer has to search for the input field by scrolling. If no voucher is available, the field is not displayed as usual.
- The customer can return to the shop from the shopping basket and continue shopping at any time.
- The view on mobile devices has been significantly optimised to make better use of the available space.
All of these changes have led to significant increases in conversion in all tests, which is why we have incorporated them into the standard functionality. We are convinced that you will also benefit from these functions.
