Questions:
- How do I create an offer?
Description:
Would you like to create a customised quote for a customer? Then you have two options with TYRIOS:
- You create a quote via the invoice management, which you can send to your customer in the form of a PDF, just like an invoice.
- You create a shopping basket offer. This avoids media discontinuity, as your customer receives the offer directly in their shopping basket, where they can accept it as with a normal order.
Depending on the customer, one or other method may be the preferred technique. However, the shopping basket offer has significant advantages:
- The individual offer is placed directly into the customer's shopping basket. There they can view the offer and - if you have convinced them - order as with a traditional order. With the shopping basket offers, you avoid media disruptions, can link to your product range and utilise all the advantages of the ordering process.
- Apart from the e-mail address, you do not need any other data from the interested customer. If your customer is convinced by the offer, they can enter their full contact details during the ordering process. This lowers the hurdle for your customers to ask for a quote.
- Your customer can pay for the accepted offer directly via the order process. In this way, you avoid cumbersome mail ping-pong and offer your customers all payment methods available in the online shop as a means of payment.
Create customised offers
To create a customised quote, you simply need to create an order manually.
- As a user with extended rights, click on Order management > Create order manually in the customer area
- Create the quote and save it. You only need to fill in the data you know. An address is not necessary as the customer can fill this in themselves at any time later. You also do not need to select a payment method or dispatch option.
After saving, the order is automatically in draft mode. If you have created a user, the user can now see the order directly in the shopping basket if they are logged in. - open the offer and click on the "Shopping basket offers" tab. Here you can simply send the order to the user.
- Click on "Create new shopping basket offer". A form will appear
- Fill in a text that the customer should receive by email.
- Save and publish the shopping basket offer. The customer now receives an e-mail with a specially prepared link. If the user clicks on this link, they will automatically see the offer in the shopping basket. If you have not selected a user, you can also copy the displayed link and give it to the customer manually (e.g. via WhatsApp, SMS, etc.)
Please note
do not open the link yourself in the browser. This will automatically place the offer in your shopping basket. The link should therefore only be opened by your customer!
Create an individual offer at the checkout
You can also create shopping basket offers directly at the checkout terminal. To do this, the receipt is created as usual for a normal purchase transaction. However, instead of making a payment, the cashier then selects the "Create offer" function
A receipt is then automatically printed out, on which the offer is stored with a QR code. If a customer has also been entered, the offer is sent directly to the customer by email.
Request quotes for individual items
Your item management gives you the option of deciding for each item whether the customer should be able to request a quote for it. To do this, you must set the "Activate offer function" property for the item. Depending on whether the shopping basket function is active, the offer function is displayed as a button or as an additional link.

It is particularly advisable to activate the offer function if the sales price is not to be shown publicly (sales price "on request"). In this case, the button display is also selected, as it is not possible for the customer to place the item in the shopping basket without viewing the price.
By clicking on the "Request quote" function, the user receives a form in which only the most necessary data needs to be entered. In addition to their first name and surname, this is their e-mail address so that you can contact the customer. There is also the option to enter an additional text so that you can further optimise your offer. If the customer is already registered and known to the system, they no longer need to enter any contact details.

By submitting the form, the customer is redirected back to the product. As the system administrator, you will now find the enquiry in the quotation overview. You will also receive an email notification if your user account has been saved in the system configuration.
You can edit the quote based on the enquiry as described above. You can also add additional or alternative products to the offer. The requested product is already preselected.
Request a quote for an entire shopping basket
In addition to the option of requesting a quote for individual products, TYRIOS also offers the option of requesting a customised quote for an entire shopping basket. To do this, you must define a minimum amount in the system settings, from which the "Request quote" function should be offered in the shopping basket.
- As a user with extended rights, go to the customer area > System > System configuration
- Search for the Order management > Quotation management area.
- Specify the amount from which the quote function should be available. In this way, you can prevent an enquiry being possible for the smallest amounts.
- Also enter the person in charge who should be informed about the enquiry.
As soon as the minimum amount set for the quotation function has been reached, an additional button is available to the customer:

By clicking on the "Request quote" button, the customer is taken to a form in which he must enter the basic contact details (name, e-mail address). The customer also has the option of entering additional text. For registered customers, it is no longer necessary to enter the contact details.

After submitting the form, the customer returns to the shopping basket. A notification is sent to all users who have been stored in the system for this purpose. The enquiry can also be found in the quotation overview. You can edit the offer as you wish. The requested products are already pre-filled.
Mail settings
The shopping basket offer function uses two mail templates:
- Shopping basket request has been created
- Shopping basket request has been published
The first mail template is used to inform you as the system administrator about a new offer request. you can use the system administration to flexibly set which users should receive this notification.
The second mail template is used if you have published a quote and a customer has been added to the quote. This means that the offer is sent to your customer fully automatically and you don't have to do anything else.

The mail templates can be edited at any time via the system administration. We have stored a standard template for you.
