eCash: Accept payments
Questions:
- How to accept payments using eCash
Description:
TYRIOS eCash basically supports three types of payment:
- Payments with vouchers (analogue and digital vouchers)
- Payments with customer cards
- Payments via bonus points
Basically, two payment sources are used:
- Vouchers: these are anonymous and not assigned to any user. Usually vouchers are in physical form in the form of a plastic card or in the form of a paper voucher.
- The user account: Each user in TYRIOS has their own user account where the system collects all points. it does not matter if the points are collected from an employer, via special points or via bonus points. All points are stored together on one account and the user can freely dispose of them.
In order to be able to reliably use these sources of money in a payment process, TYRIOS eCash provides you with the eCash terminal. This is available as a web application, which can therefore be used from any modern browser - including mobile phones and tablets. Alternatively, we are currently working on a native app so that this process is even faster. However, we will describe the web application in the following.
Solution:
- Go to the customer area > ecash > eCash terminal as a user with extended rights.
- You will be taken directly to the eCash terminal. Depending on your authorisation, there are three tabs available:
First you have to set the transaction mode- First you have to set the transaction mode. Is a purchase, do you want to sell vouchers or award special points to your customer.
- Here you can select the user via the user ID. This identification is available to you as a barcode (e.g. on the customer card, customer app). Alternatively, you can search for a user by name or create a new user.
- The transaction is simulated for you in the terminal at any time. You can therefore check in advance at any time:
- Whether the customer has enough money to pay
- How much would be paid via the eCash system and what the customer would still have to pay
- How many points the customer would get on his user account after the transaction.
- Now set the dates for the purchase:
- Store what the customer has bought. This makes it easier to clarify the situation in case of a complaint.
- Define the purchase amount that the customer would have to pay according to your POS system.
- Store vouchers - if available. All you have to do is store the voucher code. On mobile devices, an integrated barcode scanner is available for this purpose.
- If necessary, store the user. Here, too, an integrated barcode scanner is available on mobile devices.
- All entries are checked in real time and any errors are displayed in the transaction details on the right.
- If everything is correct, click on "Book transaction". The transaction will now be executed.
Please Note
The values of the transaction may change after clicking on "Book transaction", e.g. if the voucher or the points were redeemed elsewhere at the same time. Only after you have clicked on "Book transaction" do you know for sure what amount the eCash system will take over.
- Now transfer the information of the transaction into your cash register system.
