Think of it like a tree: the main category is the trunk (usually called Shop) and all other categories branch out from it.
By default, this main category is named “Shop”.

Simple steps to create a new category
- Make sure you’re logged in and have the right permissions.

Open category editing
You can do this in three ways:

Product Management → Categories → Create Category

Directly on your Shop page
