These guidelines explain how to activate the harmonised EU guarantee label (GARAN) in accordance with Directive 2024/825. The label is intended to provide information about commercial durability guarantees that cover the entire product for more than two years at no additional cost.
You will learn how TYRIOS provides technical support for the implementation by automatically generating the necessary graphics from the product data. The compact badge and the detailed sidebar are created automatically, without you having to edit or upload any graphics yourself.

From 27 September 2026, the harmonised ‘GARAN’ label for commercial shelf-life guarantees will be mandatory in the EU. This guide shows you how to activate and configure the labels in TYRIOS to offer your customers maximum transparency regarding the longevity of your products.

Enable system settings for EU companies
In the admin area, go to System -> System Configuration. Locate the ‘Order Management’ section and expand it. Toggle the ‘Is EU-based company’ switch to ON. This setting must be set to ON company-wide for the labels to be displayed at all.

Enter warranty details in the Product Editor
Open a product in the Product Editor and go to the ‘Warranty’ tab. Complete the following fields:
- Tick the ‘Commercial durability guarantee available’ checkbox.
- Under ‘Warranty period in years’, enter a number greater than 2.
- Tick the boxes ‘Warranty covers the entire product’ and ‘Warranty is provided at no extra cost’.
- Fill in the ‘Brand’, ‘Model ID’ and ‘Trade name’ text fields.
Optionally, you can add text under ‘Warranty details’ and upload a PDF under ‘Warranty document ’.

Go to the product details page in the shop
Open the product details page for the configured product in your online shop. A small badge (compact label) will now appear automatically next to the price. It shows the number of years, for example ‘3 years’.

Click on the compact warranty label
As a customer, click on the small badge next to the price. This will open a large sidebar containing detailed information about the warranty.

Check the full label in the sidebar
You will now see the large GARAN label in the sidebar. Check the values: The year (e.g. 3), the make (followed by a slash, e.g. “Make/”), the model code (e.g. “Model-1”) and the brand name (e.g. “Ähre”).

Check the layout and text flow
The system automatically uses the ‘Inter’ font. The text for the brand name and trade mark flows seamlessly into one another without overlapping. The label is generated dynamically by the system; you do not need to upload an image file.

Close the detailed view again
Close the sidebar by clicking the ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’ buttons, or by pressing the Esc key. You will return to the normal product view.

For the GARAN label to be displayed automatically for a product, all of the following criteria must be met:
- Warranty period: The term must be more than two years.
- Comprehensiveness: The warranty must cover the entire product.
- No additional cost: The service must be provided at no extra cost.
The corresponding graphic is automatically generated by TYRIOS from your text fields. You do not need to edit or create image files manually.
Please note EU Directive 2024/825, which comes into force on 27 September 2026. This directive governs the presentation of harmonised labelling for commercial shelf-life guarantees.
