How do I automatically create stock movements during a delivery?
Questions:
- How do I automatically create stock movements during a delivery?
Description:
In TYRIOS, you have the option of generating automatic stock movements for documents such as invoices, delivery notes and credit notes. This can be controlled individually for each document by specifying in the document whether and which warehouse should be posted to.
Relevant questions:
- How can I ensure that my warehouse is posted with a credit note, delivery note, etc.?
- How do I avoid a stock movement for a document?
Answer
As soon as you select a warehouse for a document (e.g. a delivery note, an invoice, etc.), TYRIOS automatically generates stock movements for the individual items specified in the document. All you have to do is select the desired warehouse in the document settings.

If you select "no warehouse", no stock movement is generated.
Stock movements are only generated for items that are linked to an item managed by Product Information Management (PIM). This link comes from order management, for example, if you have manually selected an item from the proposal list or if the customer has placed an item in the shopping basket. The linked article must also be stockable. If this is not the case, TYRIOS cannot store any stock information.
The warehouse must be defined individually for each document. You can therefore operate different warehouses with different documents and have them posted automatically.
How can I prevent / ensure that a warehouse is selected?
In certain circumstances and workflows, it is desirable that no warehouse can be selected. For example, if you always send your goods by delivery note, the stock movement should be made with the delivery note and not with the invoice. To ensure that this is not forgotten in everyday life, you can specify in the document type whether a warehouse can and may be stored. To do this, go to the user area under "Order management" -> "Settings" -> "Manage document types". Select the desired document in the overview displayed and edit it (click on the 3-dot menu on the right in the overview). Then set the options according to your requirements.

Please note that you cannot force the selection of the warehouse, but can only issue a warning if the warehouse is empty. The background to this is that it should always be possible to create a document without an explicit stock movement. In principle, this could also be achieved by removing the product link, but then you will not be able to statistically analyse your product data.
