Solution

  1. Open the blog page source
  2. Locate <link rel="alternate">
  3. Verify x-default URL has no prefix
  4. Ensure language versions include /de/, /en/
  5. Repeat for paginated URLs like /blog/2.html

  2. Missing hreflang on pagination can mix languages in SERPs
